Hands Down the Best Travel Cup I Have Ever Used!

We are always looking for small changes we can implement into our routines to make better, greener choices. So when I first picked up one of these Peggalish Bamboo Travel Cups I was sold by how lightweight it was. Meaning I could keep it in bag and not really notice the added bulk. Then I tried it out and was delighted with the warmth of the cup and lack of taste transfer to my beverage. I generally hate the plastic or metal taste given off by traditional travel mugs. I have a few ceramic ones, but they only last so long, are heavy and of course breakable. These seemed like a welcome option.

A Stylish Alternative

Made with bamboo, cornstarch and resin,  and are complete with a spill proof silicone lid and sleeve. They are lightweight, dishwasher safe and embellished with cute hashtags.

I was immediately surprised how the kids gravitated to them. And started remembering to bring them places. Our youngest is hot chocolate obsessed, so will bring it nearly every time we leave home in hopes that it will mean hot chocolate in our travels! Our oldest keeps us all on track for a making sustainable choices and often helps nudge or remind me to do so also.

I love that there are kid options as well!

My kids LOVE these. The fact that twinning with mom is an option, the catchy colours and the fun hashtags make them right up their alley. I like that they are child size. I want reasonable portion sizes for my hot chocolate obsessed child. Since they work similar to a traditional paper to go mug, they don’t keep the liquid piping hot for hours (though adults may look for this in a cup, it is not great for kids who don’t like their hot chocolate too “HOT”). 

These Bamboo Travel Mugs are lightweight, with a comfortable silicone sleeve for grip and are also the proper size for little hands. They are spill proof when closed and have the option of use with a straw. These are all welcome details, as it’s what has kept me from using traditional travel mugs for my kids in the past. My kids now bring them nearly every time we leave the house and help me to remember to do the same. Though I do tend to leave one in my car as a back up.

An Environmentally Conscious Choice

Initially my three favourite things about these cups are the lack of flavour transfer (it’s just like using the disposable paper cup that we are all used to), how cosy it feels in my hands and how lightweight it is. However the most important thing is that these cups are an environmentally conscious choice. Bamboo is a sustainable resource. They are lightweight and easily cleaned (dishwasher safe even), meaning it’s easy to transport and insert them into your daily lifestyle, in lieu of single use paper cups.

I was genuinely surprised how easy it was to make the switch to our Peggalish Bamboo Travel Cups. Especially since we have had many travel cup options in our home over the years, but they never quite had what it took to make it into constant rotation. It doesn’t hurt that they come in stylish and fun colours and options either.

Not Just For Warm Beverages!

These also work great for smoothies and juice. Since there is the option of use with a straw (these team wonderfully with stainless steel or glass straws), you are not solely limited to sipping warm beverages. In the name of good market research, we have also learned they pair wonderfully with doughnuts!
